What if you have to leave your apartment?
If local government has advised you to evacuate your place of residence,
there are a few things you should know and do:
- Single story site built homes are generally able to better withstand
high winds.
- Heed all city and county evacuation notices.
- Contact friends or family members in the local area who live
in a site built home which could be safer than where you are now.
- Contact your landlord or leasing office to find out if they
have a shelter set up for the residents and notify them if you
evacuate.
- As a last resort, pay close attention to local media to find
out where and when county shelters are opening.
- Fill up gas tank.
What should I bring to a shelter?
Blankets, Pillows, Chair, Medication, Snacks
Do Not Bring
