What is Asset Campus Housing and how will it affect me?
UCF has been informed that the owners of Pegasus Landing have selected Asset Campus Housing to replace American Campus Communities as the manager of Pegasus Landing. This change is effective as of February 1, 2011.
Asset Campus Housing has also decided to change the name of Pegasus Landing to Knights Circle. The new management company has issued this letter to announce the changes as well as upcoming inspections of the apartments. The notice indicates that there will be no change to your current lease agreement, rent amount, or security deposit (if applicable) submitted when you signed your lease.

Pegasus Landing is trying to make me move out of my room. Can they do that?
If you have questions about your lease and the rights of the landlord, it is important to contact Student Legal Services who can help you by reviewing your lease as well as any documentation received from the property. Should you seek legal advice or representation in this process, UCF students are encouraged to contact Student Legal Services, a free service provided by Student Government at www.stulegal.sdes.ucf.edu or 407-823-2538.
Can I get out of my lease at Pegasus Landing?
Pegasus Landing residents who had concerns about water intrusion, mold or maintenance issues through September 15, 2010 were granted lease cancellation waivers. Lease cancellation requests received after September 15, 2010 will be reviewed, and approved or denied, by CAPFA, Pegasus Landing's owners. What does UCF Affiliated housing mean?
This means that once UCF Housing and Residence Life is full on campus, we refer students to affiliated housing.
What does it mean to "Suspend the Referral Service"?
UCF's suspension of its agreement with CAPFA means several things:
- UCF police will continue to patrol Pegasus Landing, security guards will remain in place and shuttle service to campus will continue.
- UCF will suspend referring students to live in Pegasus Landing.
- We have relocated our on-site Residence Life staff from Pegasus Landing and ceased to provide Residence Life Services. It is our understanding that Pegasus Landing has hired and provides a Residence Life staff of their own.

What is UCF doing to help me/my student?
The health and well being of students is UCF's top priority. That is why, in light of issues of mold and water intrusion at Pegasus Landing, the university has created the Landing Assistance Network. The Landing Assistance Network will provide resources, guidance and references to help you evaluate your options and make the best possible decisions. You can contact the Landing Assistance Network at 407.823.4663 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday or by visiting our website at www.housing.ucf.edu.
Can I request that my room be tested?
Yes, according to a letter from Pegasus Landing management, "If you believe your unit may be experiencing any problems associated with water intrusion or leaks, please contact the management company immediately. We will dispatch a member of our Response Team to investigate your concerns." We encourage you to follow the procedures. Who is doing the testing?
According to Pegasus Landing staff, The Response Team is made up of a general contractor, an industrial hygienist who investigates and advises on indoor air quality issues, a physician who specializes in occupational medicine and consults with an industrial hygienist on health and safety related issues, a local counsel who advises on legal matters associated with the project and the management company, College Park Management, TRS. Am I at risk of getting sick if I stay in Pegasus Landing?
We suggest that you review the physician's opinion at umark.ucf.edu/clients/news/BrooksReport.pdf and decide what it means for you. As always, it is important for each person take responsibility for his/her well being. You should contact the student health center or your primary care physician if you have concerns or are not feeling well. If I want to leave Pegasus Landing, where should I go?
There is limited availability on campus for Spring 2011. You can apply through MyUCF. There are also many other options off campus and we do have a fully interactive off campus housing search site at offcampus.ucf.edu.
Please remember that signing a new lease does not cancel your lease with Pegasus Landing.
I live at Pegasus Pointe, is there a problem for me?
As of now, we do not have any information about Pegasus Pointe. We encourage you to contact your property manager at 407-384-6800.
Can I use my Florida Prepaid Dormitory Plan (FPDP) at Pegasus Landing and Pegasus Pointe?
With the suspension of the affiliation, the Florida Prepaid College Plan will not pay dormitory benefits directly to Pegasus Landing. (The FPCP dormitory contract can still be used at Pegasus Pointe.) If you have a FPCP dormitory contract and wish to use it at Pegasus Landing or at any other non-affiliated property, you must to request a letter from UCF Housing and Residence Life indicating that UCF is no longer accepting on-campus housing agreements. As the contract holder, your next step is to submit the no space letter and a request to use the benefit to the FPCP. The FPCP will pay the benefit amount directly to the you. Your benefit payment from FPCP may be received after your first rent payments are due. For 2009-2010, it was $2,643 per semester.

Why has one person in my apartment been moved, but not everyone?
We have been told that certain rooms may be affected differently in each apartment. Pegasus Landing management is handling all moves and can give you further instruction if needed. You can contact them at 407-362-5194 or 407-362-5190.
I can't reach anyone at Pegasus Landing, who should I contact?
The Property Manager's number is: 407-362-5194 or 407-362-5190. If you cannot reach someone by phone, you may wish to stop by the Leasing Office in Phase 3, or contact the ACC Corporate Office at www.studenthousing.com or 512-732-1099.
Why is the Residence Life staff moving out of Pegasus Landing?
Since our Residence Life program depends on free accommodations provided by Pegasus Landing in exchange for our referral agreement, and we have suspended our referral agreement, we can no longer house our staff in Pegasus Landing.
