Returning Resident Housing Lottery Opens

Lottery window opens Monday for Fall 2020 returning resident housing

On Monday, January 6, 2020, current UCF Housing and Residence Life residents will have the opportunity to apply to return to housing for the 2020-21 year. If students choose to submit an application for the main campus, they will participate in a lottery process. Students who wish to live at UCF Downtown or the Rosen College of Hospitality management may apply now, without participating in a lottery.

Why a lottery?

While there is ample student housing near the main East Orlando campus, there is a limited amount of space on campus.

Priority for on-campus housing goes to incoming first-year students. First-year students need the greatest amount of assistance when coming to a university, and living on campus is one of the best ways to help them be successful. Additional spaces are made available to returning residents via a lottery process.

The window for returning resident lottery applications for Academic-year housing, Towers, and NorthView will open on Monday, January 6, and will close on Monday, January 20.  For more information, students, families, staff, and faculty are encouraged to look on the housing website.
