Lottery window opens Monday for Fall 2020 returning resident housing Posted Friday, January 3, 2020 @ 2:15 PM On Monday, January 6, 2020, current UCF Housing and Residence Life residents will have the opportunity to apply to return to housing for the 2020-21 year. If students choose to submit an application for the main campus, they will participate in a lottery process. Students who wish to live at UCF Downtown or the Rosen College of Hospitality management may apply now, without participating in a lottery. Why a lottery? While there is ample student housing near the main East Orlando campus, there is a limited amount of space on campus. Priority for on-campus housing goes to incoming first-year students. First-year students need the greatest amount of assistance when coming to a university, and living on campus is one of the best ways to help them be successful. Additional spaces are made available to returning residents via a lottery process. The window for returning resident lottery applications for Academic-year housing, Towers, and NorthView will open on Monday, January 6, and will close on Monday, January 20.
