DEADLINE EXTENDED TO AUGUST 7

Move-In Volunteer Program (MVPs)

The Department of Housing and Residence Life (DHRL) offers a “Move-in Volunteer” program for the Fall move-in period. This program aims to provide assistance to students, families, and guests by helping with unloading and transporting belongings to their assigned Fall accommodations. The Move-In Volunteer program consists of a group of students, community members, and a third-party vendor. The number of volunteers depends on the number of sign-ups each year and the volume of arriving students.

All  individuals affiliated with the University of Central Florida (UCF), including students, faculty, staff, and alumni are eligible to participate as Move-In Volunteers. UCF faculty, staff, and students can conveniently enroll in the course by following this link to the Webcourse. Faculty and staff who intend to volunteer during business hours must obtain prior approval from their supervisors.

All non-UCF volunteers will not have access to the university Webcourse system. However, we have alternative steps for you to follow:

  1. Thoroughly review the MVP Webcourses PDF_NON Affiliated Volunteers. By proceeding with the risk management form and shift selection, volunteers acknowledge that they have read this document, which contains crucial information regarding volunteer safety and expectations.
  2. Complete the UCF Risk and Insurance Management Volunteer Form, titled “UCF HRL Move-In Volunteer Waiver Form” by August 7th at 11:59 pm.
  3. Sign up for shifts by August 7th at 11:59 pm. To access the Volunteer Shift Selection Form, please click here.

Here are the instructions for the Volunteer Shift Selection Form:

  • Select the shifts you would like to volunteer for, by double-clicking the dates and times for your selected location.
  • Provide accurate information, including email address that you regularly use and have access to, as your shifts will be emailed to you.
  • Complete the acknowledgement statements and select your t-shirt size.
  • Click “Sign Up Now” and you’re all set!

Move-In Volunteers who are also living on campus and meet all the requirements associated with the role may be eligible for an early move-in fee waiver. It is mandatory for all Move-In Volunteers to sign a UCF risk management volunteer form.
