Fresh Check Day is a mental health fair sponsored by the Residence Hall Association (RHA) in partnership with the national organization, the Jordan Porco Foundation. The event held on Valentine’s Day had several booths and tables with different mental health activities or information for students to engage with. Students received a stamp for each booth they participated in, and could enjoy pizza after collecting six or more stamps. These students were also eligible to enter to win a variety of raffle prizes. Raffle winners were announced every 45 minutes for UCF swag prizes and our two grand prizes of Air Pods and an Amazon Fire Tablet.

Over 200 individuals participated in the Fresh Check Day event, of which over 50 were on-campus residents. Eight of our community Area Councils each sponsored a booth, and one booth was sponsored by the National Residence Hall Honorary. Partners included the Active Minds RSO, Counseling and Psychological Services, Wellness and Health Promotion Services, and the Mental Health Association of Central Florida. Each of their stations addressed topics such as suicide awareness, body image, stress relief, and more.
