From Housing Ambassador to UCF leader, role model, and more! Posted Tuesday, July 5, 2022 @ 10:40 AM Alli Calvert has shown her dedication to her school and leadership through various commitments. Calvert currently helps lead the Housing Ambassador (HA) team as Senior Housing Ambassador (SHA), where she creates schedules and works alongside a group of HA’s to provide housing tours and assist in the staffing of the department’s four main desk areas. She works directly with her supervisor, Vincent Borello, to ensure her HA team is running smoothly! When not in the office, Calvert can be found working in one of her many roles within Student Government, President Leadership Council, and Panhellenic council. Calvert has served in her role as Panhellenic President for 8 months where she proudly represents one of the largest communities of women on campus and in the Orlando community. Within this position, Calvert states she’s most excited “to continue improving the community across multiple initiatives including involvement, Dei, as well as leadership and academic involvement.” Calvert is a Senior majoring in Communication and Conflict and wants to pursue her master’s in Emergency Crisis Management at UCF after she graduates. As a freshman, Calvert lived in the Neptune community and became involved in the housing department in July 2020. She’s been in the Housing Ambassador role since July of 2020. “Giving tours and helping prospective/new students understand the housing process” is one of her favorite parts about being a Housing Ambassador. After reflecting on her days as a young freshman, Calvert’s biggest piece of advice to others would be to “apply early and be open to anything. I loved my housing experience and I hope you will, too!” UCF Housing is currently hiring Housing Ambassadors for the 2022-2023 school year. Housing Ambassadors conduct daily tours of housing facilities, staff the department’s main front desk areas, assist with special events for marketing on-campus housing, and more.
