The Department of Housing and Residence Life’s very own Karen Rodriguez has been named a UCF 30 Under 30 Award winner for 2022. Karen is the department’s Social Media Marketing Coordinator and a soon-to-be two-time Knight. She graduated from UCF in 2016 with her Bachelors in Advertising and Public Relations, and is set to graduate with her Masters in Business Administration this May.

According to the UCF Alumni website, “The 30 Under 30 awards program recognizes outstanding young alumni who continue to “Reach for the Stars” in their professional and personal lives since graduating from the University of Central Florida. Young alumni currently account for one third of our alumni population, making them our largest constituent base. The 30 Under 30 awards program seeks to connect young alumni to the UCF community. This spring, the UCF community will celebrate the achievements of these individuals and the impact they have made in their profession, community, and the university post commencement.”

Karen has been very active throughout the UCF community and beyond. Most notably, she enjoys volunteering and helping animals in need, uses social media to educate and inspire others, and educates the community on the Cuban crisis and overall culture.

The 30 Under 30 winners have demonstrated great professional success, a commitment to helping others, and a track record of giving back to UCF and their local communities. From inventors and entrepreneurs to engineers, athletes, teachers, nurses and more, it’s no doubt that they represent the best of Knight Nation. Karen and the other winners will be recognized at an award ceremony this May. Full list of this year’s winners can be found here.
