Mental health is described as “our emotional, psychological, and social well-being.” With nearly 75% of all mental health conditions starting by age 24, the aiding and prevention of depression, anxiety, suicide, and victim services have become an important topic of conversation throughout college campuses. Mental health concerns can interrupt student success, and UCF has poured resources into programs that assist students in overcoming these challenges.

Counseling and Psychological services (CAPS) is a free campus resource with a variety of services for UCF students throughout UCF’s main campus, satellite campuses, and some online/cellphone options as well. CAPS offers daily walk-in services and professional consultations to staff, faculty, students, and parents. Initial assessments, brief individual counseling, group therapy, workshops and educational presentations are just a few of the services offered. Below are a few noteworthy or signature events and programs that CAPS offers in their efforts to keep our Knights well-rounded and healthy.
