UCF Delegation Wins Most Spirited Institution and More at NACURH 2022


RHA & NRHH receive over 16 recognitions

This past weekend the Residence Hall Association and National Residence Hall Honorary, attended the National Association of College and University Residence Halls (NACURH) 2022 Annual Conference, hosted by Southern Oregon University.

NACURH is a non-profit organization comprised of eight regions, with schools all over the nation representing their housing and residence life department. NACURH and our region, the South Atlantic, has served as a resource to us and many other institutions. Additionally, they equip their student leaders with the right tools to provide their communities with a positive and engaging experience to residents. Each year student leaders showcase their hard work and dedication by submitting award bids for consideration by the NACURH Board of Director’s. The UCF delegation this conference weekend, was able to take home many awards on both the regional and national level!

Below are all the awards that UCF were able to take home this past weekend:

New Position

Keri Nguyen – SAACURH Coordinating Officer for Public Relations & Spirit on the SAACURH Executive Committee (Regional Board of Directors)

Two Year Service Pin

The SAACURH Two Year Service award is designed to recognize SAACURH student leaders who have served in residence halls over a two-year period.

Four Year Service Pin

The NACURH Four-Year Service Pin Award recognizes those students who have spent four years of their collegiate careers NACURH living in the residence halls, constantly striving to enhance their residential living environments and NACURH.

Silver Pin

The Silver Pin award is a regional award given at the Regional Director’s discretion. The pin shall be awarded to individuals who have provided leadership and direction to the regional affiliate of NACURH. The maximum number of pins that may be given out in one year is equal to the number of regional affiliates in NACURH (8). The pins shall be given out during any conference deemed appropriate by the Regional Director. All recipients of a Silver Pin will be announced at the regional awards ceremony during the NACURH Annual Conference.
