Spotlight: The Entire Libra Community Staff

The Libra Community staff have been recognized for the culture, welcoming atmosphere, and the encouraging environment they have created, with special shout outs to Jen, Jolie, and Marie for their impeccable leadership, support, and friendliness. Along with other grads and staff members, the Libra community has proven to be an amazing team that showcases wonderful attributes to new and old members.

The nominator said, “As a new spring RA, one of the things I was nervous about was the fact that everyone had already been working together because sometimes it’s hard to enter a space where everyone is already close. My worries could not have been further from the reality that is Libra. This team is beyond welcoming, instructional, supportive, and encouraging.”

Residence Life Professional Staff: Dillon Yonker

Dillon began his position as the new Hercules Coordinator in the Fall of 2021 and has since proven to be an amazing leader for the team. He came in with a bubbly, kind personality displaying nothing but professionalism and grace. Within the past few months, Dillon has continued to give the Hercules staff resources for success and has been flexible with staff members’ schedules for the spring semester. With his presence, spring move-in went great and he was there to lend a hand to any team member who needed it. Dillon has been supportive, creative, and welcoming to the Hercules staff and continues to be a role model for all.

His nominator said “Dillon continues to be an active resource in the community not only for staff members but for residents as well. I know I can always come to him with any questions or concerns, and he will drop what he is doing to lend a helping hand.”

Institution Faculty/Staff: Lauren O’Toole

Lauren O’Toole has been recognized for her hard work and determination within the Housing and Residence Life Department. While she is relatively new to the team, this has not stopped Lauren from shying away from her tasks. She has done an amazing job adapting to her position and problem solving when any issues arise. She has had great success at her planned events already, proving that she is an amazing asset to the team!

Her nominator said, “Lauren is a hard-working professional who strives to do her best not only in her job, but as a friend, too. She has an impact on me because sometimes when the goals ahead are not very clear, it’s very difficult to keep up the motivation but Lauren continues to have a great attitude about these changes and still strives to achieve the goals she set for this role.”

Resident Assistant: Kathryn Hilbert

Kathryn (Katie) Hilbert was recognized for the outstanding work she has done as a Hercules RA and as an advisor for the Hercules Area Council. Katie has shown her dedication as a council member through her attendance at all the meetings and events hosted. Katie supports others with their ideas and works hard to collaborate with other area councils. She helped the Hercules Area Council pack one hundred fifty ‘Spring Start-Up’ goodie bags for a tabling event and helped organize a week-long event called ‘January Jams’ where she collaborated with several other councils across campus to make it successful. Whether she’s keeping the Area Council organized, ensuring other members take a break during events, or taking on an extra task, Katie also takes the time to impact other campus organizations. Katie is the Vice President of Recognition for the National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) where she continues to work hard and inspire others!

Her nominator said “Apart from being a great advisor and mentor, Katie has also become a dear friend of the Hercules Area Council. We have truly appreciated all the hard work and effort that Katie has put into ensuring that we succeed!
